"The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; A broken and a contrite heart, O God, Thou wilt not despise"
Why did you choose this time to break me? Why did I allow you to bring brokenness into my life? As I look around me, I see pieces of my brokenness everywhere. Lord, I know that I shouldn’t see brokenness as a negative thing, but one thing that I know is that it doesn’t feel good at all. I am crying out from the anguish of my heart, and wailing because my spirit is broken. How can I fight you Lord when you are the one who made me? You know how to break me, but you also know how to put me together again.
“LORD, who may dwell in your sanctuary?
Who may live on your holy hill? He whose walk is blameless
and who does what is righteous, who speaks the truth from his heart
and has no slander on his tongue, who does his neighbor no wrong
and casts no slur on his fellowman.”
